257: David Hembrow's Xtracycle
This is an Xtracycle owner I was lucky to find. David is a traditional English basket-maker as well as an Xtracycle enthusiast. An excellent combination, take a look at his creations on his website. His blog also has many Xtracycle exploits, worth a look as well.

First Real Xtracycle Load

John,
You listed my old Xtracycle as number 179. Long overdue, I now provide a photo of my Big Dummy. See attached.
Thanks for doing the gallery--I just love it. My favorite new find in your gallery is the Creamsycle http://www.xtracyclegallery.com/2008/12/235-creamsycle-xtracycle.html
Of course I do live in Gainesville (http://www.ufl.edu/) so orange and blue seem a natural mix.

235: Creamsycle Xtracycle
From Kevin @ Hiawatha:
I hate Olive Drab so had it powdercoated along with a set of rims. I was going with that classic 70's Holdsworth look. For good weather, it is shod with a set of Schwalbe Fat Franks, giving it that "Creamsycle" look. The weather and the roads are getting a little slippery now so we moved to some more aggressive rubber.
It rides great and always gets a lot of attention. Biggest load so far is about 40 pounds of miscellaneous hardware. The deck is custom from a sheet of Birch Plywood.
